The Gettin’s Good

Well, for Christmas this year, I got:

  • New laptop (HP Pavilion DV7-1023cl, if anyone is interested)
  • New wireless mouse to go with said laptop.
  • A cooling pad for the laptop.
  • Gift cards for Warehouse One and Urban Planet. (new clothes for meeee)
  • New jeans and two new sweaters.
  • New pajamas
  • Dragon Age: Origins (PS3)
  • Blue PS3 controller
  • Charging station for 4 PS3 controllers
  • Circular polarizer for my camera.
  • The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet (one of my favourite books)
  • Movie passes (which are quite useful for me)
  • Various other little things

All-in-all, a pretty good year. Got almost everything I wanted to have, though not quite. But can’t do much about that. Though, now I need to get a new laptop bag because this laptop is too big for the one I have. But, they have a backpack big enough going on sale at Futureshop, so I hinted rather strongly that my family should get me that for my birthday.

RE:BORN

Well, I haven’t updated lately, since… well, there hasn’t been much to update. Done all of my finals, which went reasonably well, though once again Janet pissed us off, but whatever. It’s over, I don’t care anymore. I’ve been working more lately, which means yay money for me, and that’ll be a nice change of pace, haha.

Only five days left until new computer time!

Which means only 10 days left until I’m legal to drink in the US and gain absolutely nothing in Canada!

Also, we redid the kitchen floor and got some new appliances, which pleases me greatly. I’m quite thrilled with the new fridge and stove. Now maybe my food will cook evenly. No more guesswork on my chickenz!

Hmm… well. There’s nothing really new to note in my personal life. Everything is the same as it’s been for a while now, which isn’t exactly what I’d prefer, but I’m sure it’ll go away by itself.

Had good times at the Shay/Tyler/Chris birthday party (which, let’s face it, was basically just a Shay party featuring Chris and Tyler), where we played Rockband for a few hours (I didn’t actually play, for some reason. It didn’t occur to me to try, haha) after a failed attempt to go bowling because you apparently need a reservation, which sucks bum. There was also some pathetic Scrabble involved. There was just no hope for those games.

Alex and I decided I need to take a trip to Chicago sometime to visit and go to some places he insists on taking me, which I’m all for. I just need to have the money for said trip, which is no easy task. But we’ll see, someday.

Leap of Faith

A few things:

1) Done my 20 page essay, and thus all my essays (except for the two on one of my finals) until next semester. You have no idea how happy I am. :)

2) Fuck it, I don’t care anymore.

3) Assassin’s Creed II is pretty good so far. Glad I can finally play it.

4) Danny seems weird latelty. I’m not sure if he’s tired or stressed or if by some bizarre chance I pissed him off (which would be weird since we’ve barely spoken since final stuff started)

5) D’awwwwwww Nick. It’s still cute. XD

6) Hm. I wonder.

I can become the snow~

Well, things seem to be more-or-less back to normal in the way they’re running. I know it’s just a surface, but it’s still nice. Chris and I are talking pretty much like normal now overall, which is good. I know he’s not “alright” right now, but I’m sure he will be eventually.

Speaking of things going back to normal, Robbie and I are talking regularly again. It had gone to one or twice a week for a while, if that, which was pretty unusual. But now it’s back to how it used to be, so that’s pretty awesome. I missed the actual conversations, haha.

All my assignments except for my EndLang paper are done now, and so I’m going to be spending tonight doing it, and be done by midnight tomorrow. I’m planning to pull an all-nighter with Dawn tonight to work on it, so I won’t be as stressed tomorrow, deadline and whatnot. So we’ll see how that goes. Then, last day of classes will be overrrrrr and I’ll be almost freeeeeeee, except for finals. But I’m not too worried about those.

I ordered my mom’s present the other day, which puts me out around $140, but I’ll live. I still need to figure out what to get my dad, sister, Oma, and Opa. And I dunno if I need to buy any of my friends presents. I’ll have plenty of time to go shopping, luckily, so should be no problem.

There’s something I’ve been wondering lately, but I’m not actually sure what to think about it. It’s really hard to tell what exactly is happening there. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

And now I’m done my snack, so back to working on my essay. I’ll finally be able to play Assassin’s Creed II soon! YESSSSS.
